Hey bud, just a little advice on when you are speaking in public or making a video simply replace the filler words such as "umm" and "so" with a brief silence. This will allow you to convey your message more clearly and is less distracting to the viewer. Still good video!

Thanks for the videos, I always learn something. I've been an apprentice with a UAW local for 1.5 years but we are strictly industrial. Keep em' coming!

Good video explanation. A question, if for argument sake someone wired in a 30 amp circuit for a pump room, but didnt have a light or switch in that room can you piggy back from that circuit to put in a light and switch in that room? I am thinking one would have to find another circuit to run that light and switch on. let me know your thoughts.

The second number is the amount of current carrying conductors not wires cuz 12\2 has technically 3 wires

Hmm... Not going to remember this! However, I'll have the general gist which is helpful, I remember when someone was asking me about using heavier duty appliances in other parts of the house and asking if they could just replace the socket, I sure am glad I said there is probably more to it!

Notes:
White wire is 14 gauge, 15 amps, for lights
Yellow wire is 12 gauge, 20 amps, for basic appliances
Orange wire is 10 gauge, for water heaters.
Black wire is 8 gauge, for the stove.

Aluminum isn't as good as copper, needs bigger wires/smaller gauge numbers.

Some jobs will just ignore the white wire because it's simpler.

Get the wrong wire and big boom. Don't do that.

Thank you very much for this video.
I appreciated your knowledge and your willingness to share with us that huge oxygen bottle.
In conclusion, from what I’ve learned; I could decide to use for example a 6 wire gauge for the entire houses and I know I’m good for any type of appliances I’ll be using such as: stove, fridge, pc, ac etc ?
Thank you again.

I'm changing a length of 14/2 Romex on a 30 amp breaker but the length I have is a little short of the length I need. I've been told that since 12/2 Romex is thicker gauge than 14/2, it is not a problem to splice 12/2 Romex with 14/2 Romex. Is that accurate?
