This is one of the most important types of videos to watch before starting to set up fishtanks. When you see Discus or Angels or Neons or Corys or cichlids in their natural settings. The difference is staggering. Nature knows what its doing, its been doing it for a very very long time.

4 years ago and I am seeing this video for the first time. Thank you.
Wow. At 17:00 it was great to see the plants of Vellozia doing so well.
I did not realise they grew in Venezuela, knowing there are a lot in Bahia and nearby States of Brazil.

Also it was great to see so many aquatic plants, Venezuela is lucky to have such diversity.

What a beautiful habitat these fish live in. Its sad I will probably never have access to see them in person outside of my aquarium setting. I've noticed most of these locations are non-tourist areas. I'd imagine you'd need an experienced local to guide you through these blackwater environments. At the same time, thats what makes them so beautiful is they are remote and untouched by humans... just captivating to see the diversity of nature.

I started out just planning to watch around 5 minutes of this video, ended up watching the whole thing, then ended up signing in to YouTube just so I could vote this up.

Very nice work, and I loved that music too.

Chanced upon this wonderful video documentary by Ivan Mikolji. It has always been a dream of mine to visit the Amazon once in my lifetime but this video almost took me there. Felt extremely happy to see the various species in their natural habitat. Kudos to you (Ivan) and those that helped with the documentary. Thank you (from 🇮🇳).

Thank you so much for making this video, it is amazing. You have done a fantastic job. It even managed to keep my kids interested the entire time- Once even asked me if I was watching "Animal Planet"

Love the choice of music. It's uplifting when you show the beauty of the natural aquarium's flora and fauna and gets melodramatic when you talk about the biotopes vanishing due to overcollecting and pollution.
We need to get rid of the attractive "wild caught" classification in the aquarium business for things to change.

Loved every minute of it!
