He did not "insult" any European country! He only asked (rightly so) that America should be paid equitably from both our European allies, NATO and the U.N.

Many years few paid much of anything in their military budgets, relying on the American taxpayer to pay for Europe, NATO and the U.N. So, maybe now again, Europe will pay a fair percentage to protect themselves, and contribute more to NATO.

I think some of my European brothers and sisters might be misunderstanding the situation. The United States—or even Trump, specifically—will never truly abandon them. What Trump and many Americans want is for Europe to step up and take on more responsibility. Together, Europe is far stronger than Russia; so why, then, is there such a struggle to defend Ukraine? Europeans should stop approaching military support as if they are beggars. Unity is Europe's greatest strength. I believe Genghis Khan once said, "The reason I was able to conquer so many countries is because my people are united, and your people are not, " referring to his invasion of areas that are now part of Ukraine. He was right. The West often talks a big game about being the best because of democracy, but in practice, they act too slowly. The United States will always be here for you, but you need to do your part, especially when conflicts arise on your own soil.
