As a schoolboy brought up in 1950's, Lancashire coalfields. I dreamed of living in the Scottish Highlands. This is after a friend, whose parents had money, they had a shop..came back from a holiday in the Highlands, told me stories of mountains, lakes (lochs), etc. Years later I did just that and got a job working on an estate in the Highlands..with my own little cottage. I lived in Scotland for around 28 years..until I moved overseas. My new home has mountains, lakes etc. Now at 72, I am happy in my new home.
