Actually there’s manuscripts written by Matthew that have been dated to the first century. We also have Paul’s letters to the 7 churches. We also have John’s letters. Furthermore we had the apostles who were with Jesus. They made disciples from the actual word of Jesus. They did not need a book. They had the genuine artifact.

Of course the first century church didn't have the Bible as we know it, BUT they did have the writings that would one day be collected together as the Bible. The entirety of the Bible was written within 100 years of Jesus' Resurrection.

To say "that 200 years is blank" is absolute nonsense. I don't know what your goal is that would cause you to lie like this.

Guys, they all had the OT. Which confirms Christ in a thousand ways. Look at Peter and Paul’s teachings. They use the OT as support to prove their statements and claims of Jesus being the Christ

Well. I agree to an extent. We don't have the original copies, but they did exist. Now they werent consolidated until 300 years later.

These guys look legit with their robes, wow they are right!.. let us believe them. It’s what Paul wrote in his letters to the churches about false prophets, wolves in sheep’s clothes..

The church is a people, not a building. "where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in there midst." Jesus' conversation to the Samaritan women at the well.

Paul's letters were being circulated in the early church, and there were Hebrew scrolls. Paul refers to these. However, there is presently an attempt by Islam to denigrate the New Testament, and it would appear the same from this faction of the church.

They had the Old Testament & spoke of the prophecies he fulfilled & how he was the fulfillment of the law. They had the letters written by the apostles, & the Holy Spirit to guide them. That’s a lot more than nothing.

Well they had the OT. Remember Jesus on the road after he was resurrected, went through the Law and the Prophets.

OT, Pauls letters. Sick of this orthodox elitism. We don’t need to do the rituals they did. I just had church in my home! Probibly the oldest form of church right there

The Mark, luke and Matthew and most the ltters letters were written 20 to 30 years after Jesus resurrection. What do you mean 300 years?

What a confused whoever this guy is. And those there to agree are just as lost. Blind leading blind. The apostles taught the teaching of Jesus that later on were written down, and 4 records of the actual eyewitnesses made it into the Bible.

That’s not true at all the letters of Paul began to be circulated widely within 10 years of Christ’s resurrection the 4 Gospels were circulated probably between 25- 100 years after the resurrection. There were many books written in was Constantine who arranged for them to critically analysed for discrepancies and false authorship. Early Christians even if they couldn’t read learnt passages and psalms and doctrine off by heart. They knew the stories of Jesus very well.

That is incredibly naive. The letters of the apostles (particularly Paul, John, James and Peter) were copied, shared and taught throughout the church in the first century. Those letters reflected the same message that was taught directly by the apostles’ spoken word. One of the measures of authenticity when compiling the New Testament Canon was whether a letter was broadly accepted and taught in the church. This man’s statement is very wrong: it tells a story of discontinuity, confusion, and unreliability.
