I have a question, what if the gradient of a slope is a negative value, do I carry out the formula before considering in the absolute value or does anything negative immediately get affected by the absolute value?

And now the most important part if you are not in a math class and the teacher writes down your questions... if I only have x1 and x2 (x=datetime, y=value) of each line 1 and 2 how do I get these slope formula thingies or whatever it is called in english? and how do I know which of the two angles I am calculating? Arguing that it is not always this obvios as in your example?

good video how on to use a formula but derivation of this formula is more important. it gives you more of a proof why this equation is actually true. to see the derivation check out eddie woo's video. you will remember how to derive it better than remembering this. i always forget formulas
