Correction: I said power and torque are up, but power actually remained pretty much the same. Torque is up by ~10Nm.

Mines on order! As a sport bike rider, this bike blew me away! Cant wait to finally pick it up. Will certainly be more enjoyable on long trips with a pillion, and as a bonus the sport bike can be saved for track use 🥰

I've put 3, 000 miles on my fxbbs114. Tons of power. Clutchless 1st-2nd gear rolling burn-outs to common on the stock rear tire. Will be upgraded soon as spinning ain't winning.

I've put 16" primeapres on mine and it keeps my arms lvl instead of the stock bars.

I've put a saddlem explorer to give more support for the "at greater than highway speeds". Love it.

I also installed a 25" sissy for my pack outs. I got off grid camping a lot. The bike hasn't let me down yet. It's already been through extreme rain storms, flooding, mud, 100s of miles of dirt and gravel roads.with hurricane season right around the corner. A 1, 000 miles of stop and go in city traffic and the rest at high speeds.

As you can tell I didn't go by the recommended 3k rpm cap for the break in. I just got on it and rode.

Worked out pretty good for since everyone else that buys the fxbbs114 is have warranty work done at 300 miles lol. Luck of the draw I guess.

Love the bike.

Edit: the mirrors lol they do all the "vibbin about" you can't see shit over 50mph out of them.

Out of the entire HD range this is probably my favourite. The other Softtails just look like this bike with some shiny gubbins bolted on. I prefer the clean elegance of this

Great review, beautiful motorcycle. Sat on one at my local dealership recently and it looks even better in person!

Bought a '21 Street Bob in green. Subdues the loud graphics the best of the 4 colors, imo. Coming from essentially everything but a cruiser. It handles surprisingly nice. Brakes are my main issue. It takes so much squeeze to get any clamp and the lack of an adjustable lever makes me think about braking vs just having the lever there and giving me the feedback I expect. I disagree with the levers though, I hate the chunkiness and will likely swap them out for a more traditional sized lever. The more rear centric braking bias has taken a bit to get used to, but 500 miles in and I'm adjusting to it.

In all it was the only Harley other than the softtail standard that I was interested in.

Brilliant man. Love your style of review and happy out someone's fairly represented harleys. Harley fan boy here with two, so hope to see more HD on the channel. Cheers man ☘👍

As an owner of a 2023 Street Bob, I love it. I bought it because of its simplicity. I previously owned Ducati motorcycles and this bike is totally in a class of its own. While not super fast it does have good acceleration and handling (the ape bars do limit its handling in tight turns) it is very easy to operate. I find the rear brake on my 2023 to be better than most bikes (mine does not have ABS brakes). I did add a crash bar which saved my bike when the wind blew it over while parked or someone knocked it over. LED turn signals upgrade was a must and a new seat. I live close to the Tail of the Dragon (318 curves in 11 miles) and I am anxious to try the bike on this road.

Nice bike, I so appreciate you
showing this bike off, cleaned up,
and polished, not with mud and
grime all over it, as I see with some
channels. It shows respect and quality
in the presentation imv..

I went for the FatBob with the same 114 M8 engine - it really is a beast. You can rip it & have loads of fun without getting into license shedding speed like my old Fireblade.

A word to prospective buyers... if you have a Harley and want a 'better soundtrack' don't be lulled into buying new silencers there is a baffle plate about ten inches or so inside them that can be drilled out using a suitable sized drill with an extended shaft that has a reduced diameter extension that will fit in any mains power DIY drill. The drill bits are available on ebay, and it'll save you many hundreds of pounds. You don't even need to take the mufflers off to do it ! In the days before catalysts the plate could be punched out with a broom handle !
Just drill out the baffle plate and leave the catalytic bit intact to provide some back pressure and the ECU will deal with it OK or if you really want to, you can fit some XIED's that are easily available on the 'net, the bike may feel like it has less bottom end but it'll breath better overall - in the USA most staes don't have noise laws and your 'drilled out' mufflers will be just like the ones they have over there.
As for the hand grips, Sportster grips are reduced diameter and are a direct replacement if like me you do not have big hands - it had them within hours of collecting the bike !

Glad to see a not so very big guy ride one of these, lots of other videos are people 6ft+ tall, and as a 5' 5" guy it makes it harder to judge what id look like on these bikes. great comprehensive look at the bike, thanks !

I like the Fat Bob much better. This thing has truly stupid handlebars. Torque rules. No substitute for cubic capacity. I love my MT-01 back in Portugal. 1670 cc and a mere 263 kg. But I am coming round to really liking cruisers.
Good review.

I’ve got last years 107 in a street Bob and love it. I am seriously debating ordering the stage IV kit for 128ci.

I ride all sorts and I switched from a ZX10 and Versys 1000 to a Fatbob 114 in 2018. Haven't looked back. The Fatbob 114 is an absolute hoot to ride, and comes with good brakes and suspension from the off. I regularly ride and tour on other machines, and in 2019 I rode the Fatbob down to Austria with my touring crowd (Wrong Direction we call ourselves :) ). Other bikes in the group include Multistrada, Superduke, Tracer 900, Capornord etc. The 114 motor is so strong through the range it was never found wanting in the fast twisties, plus it does all you need at touring speeds and hit an indicated 130mph on the Autobahn. Having test ridden the new Road King Special I am considering upgrading from the Fatbob for the carrying capability, and greater touring comfort - no difference performance wise.

The phrase that is affectionally used over here with the big V twins is: Man that bike "Pulls like a train" . It is really infectious and memorable . My 1700 Yamaha was amazing but I have to say I felt like I was set free going from a 720 pound bike back to a 510 pound Bonnevile and from 42 MPG US to 56MPG US They are great in a big head wind on the thruways though .. Great review Rob ...
