I met a boy when I was 13, in a AOL roleplay chat room. He was 12. We met for the first time at 19.... at 27, we got and just last year, he made me a widow. Regardless, I will never regret him.

Last story: She's doing what toxic and controlling people often do in relationships; isolate their partners, separate them from friends and family, one by one. When they have no one else to turn to it makes them easier to control. Make them feel like they have no one else but the controlling, abusive partner.

Made friends with a dude on a forum chat. Went on a trip with him, then visited him in his country, he came to mine, and now we are married. 5 years and counting.

I was 11 y/o (F) when I made an online friend (13M). We were both moderators for a Pokemon forum (yes, who tf allowed kids run the show idk). When I was 23, he had a work conference in my city so we finally managed to meet!! It was great, kinda awkward at first but by day 2, we were laughing our asses off. Online friends are just as valuable as IRL ones. Good memories :)

Man this video makes me nervous cause I recently found out a friend I’ve been talking to for 5-6 months now lives 3 hours away from me. I’ve brought the hypothetical idea of meeting up if I ever have a reason to drive there. Thing is I’m not as expressive or energetic irl as I am online so I’m worried it’ll be us just sitting in awkward silence

Lol nothing. I've been part of an online group of bronies from all around Russia for a few years (a girl among mostly guys, mind you) and we all decided to meet at Moscow last May, around 12 people. We booked almost an entire floor at the same hotel and had a nice week of hanging out together, playing board games, walking around the city, and just chilling. Nothing creepy, nothing regrettable. Those guys are my absolute brothers

I met a group of people in ffxiv in January. Started getting feelings for one of them and by October I flew across the US to meet them. I am now engaged and living with him.

"She constantly smelled like fish" came out of nowhere and it's hilarious.

met my best friend playing rainbow six siege of all places. We really hit it off and we had each others backs through good and bad, and he helped me get through my first duty station (over 4 years). He came to my wedding 3 years ago and was one of my groomsmen. fast forward to April of this past year, I was stationed in the UK for the military and didn't pick up the phone when he called. He had a history of depression and I talked him off the edge multiple times as did my wife. Woke up to 3 missed calls and a mutual friend of ours calling me. Turns out he took his own life. To this day i regret not hearing the phone and miss him every day. still hard to talk about but its much easier to type than verbal express it. Love you buddy </3

I met my online best friend (15f) and I (16f) in 2019. We clicked instantly, and even through our time together we dated different people we were always very close and relied with each other. We met last year and as soon as we saw each other irl we clicked instantly, like two twin siblings with nothing on their brain except each other. Things are kind of slow at the moment, but we've met 4 more times since then and we're planning to live together soon :)

At the start of the 2019-2020 college semester I met a girl online and got to talking with her. We quickly grew close and eventually in March of 2020 right before lock-down we started dating. In December of 2021 she came up to visit me in Canada (she's from the USA) and on December 25th I proposed to her. We've been engaged ever since. If it wasn't for national borders we would probably be married already. I love her so much.

I've managed to meet 6 online gaming buddies and I'm still friends with 5 of them. The sixth guy just kinda ruined his life and I couldn't help him anymore, so we don't talk to that guy lmao.

Met my online bestie after we agreed I'd move in with her. I moved from the east coast to the west coast of America. It was awesome and awful, in all those ways that life can be. So fun, so many great and painful memories. It was a year of my life that shaped me, truly, and I owe her so much. I don't regret a single thing. I just wish the timing had been better.

I also remember saying she was taller than I thought she'd be xD

I met 5 or 6 friends and it always went well. So I rarely turn down an invitation. These stories would have scared the sht out of me if I didn't experience IRL meetings before
One relation turned real bad and I just don't talk anymore with another of these 6 friends but I'm still in touch with the others and I'm glad!
Make you own experiences, a lot of good stuff can happen

met a girl 4-5 years ago, and shes 2 years older than me. i spiralled into a weird mix of depression and just general unhappiness about a year and a half ago, she was my backbone for support and everything. she lives across the country, so i cannot visit her, but we are still the best of friends online. you dont need to meet in reality to be friends, sometimes its better just online.

Met a dude I met on discord who happened to live only two hours away. We were friends for a long time and honestly just wanted to meet up and hang. Turns out he's a whole foot taller than me and can crush my ribs very easily. He's also very into working out legs, and made me bicycle at like 10-12 mph for 6 minutes. I couldn't walk for three days after that.

Anyways we've been dating for almost a year now
