My wife is Maltese, we spent the month of October visiting last year. We met on average 3 new cousins of my wife every day, although not in Malta but on the Island of Gozo. We arrived and awaited the arrival of a NYC Maltese cousin of my wife who owns a house in Nadur. We got to Valetta a couple of days early and got to be tourists for a while in the capital. Much to see there, I noticed the careful use of camera angles in the movie so we didn't see the set for Gladiator. There has been over 25 films made in Malta, if you watched Game of Thrones there are many scenes of the smaller towns. They left out walking in Valetta and eating Pastises, these can be made with ricotta, meat, tuna, beef, many choices are available and all for one Euro or less. For the adventurous rabbit (and sea food) are the main staples of their diet.

Im from Malta, honestly that its not our airport! Even the actors non of one atleast is a maltese from the hotel. 😑. Otherwise its a good movie and good shots from our beautiful island ❤

The trick in this story line is getting over the initial shock of being left with the original travel partner. I would think that a relationship could have developed on the initial trip out. 9c? really. It's a cute movie anyway. Lots of old movie references. Wish they would have shown the breakup of the girlfriends marriage. I bet it was epic.
