Step 1:
Locate 16pin Connector for Diagnostics
[Most of the cars have it in here]
Step 2:
Connect SuperMini ELM327 OBD II
Step 3:
Put the key in Contact
Step 4:
Turn Bluetooth On and find "OBDII"
Step 5:
Turn GPS On
Step 6:
Go to Torque Application
Step 7:
Wait until the phone is connected to OBDII
Step 8:
Search for car Fault Codes

I bought one. Downloaded the pay for app. Which was only 2.50. Pounds. I plugged it in, within seconds it had picked up the fault. ( the check engine light was on) it told me it was the clutch sensor. Then it reset it. No problem. I'm happy with it.

fault codes are there for a reason, fix the problem fault code goes, but use the OBDii to diagnose fault code for sure

Does this little tool read all engine fault codes? I'm wondering whether or not some codes wouldn't be readable, effectively making this tool useless. I wouldn't want to scan my car and see zero codes when, in fact, there might be 3 "hidden" ones. Cheers!

Can you keep the scanner on all time? Like in a normal daily basis? Or you have to disconnect after you use it?

When yours is connected it looks alot different than mine, I've paired it with Bluetooth yet I've got next to nothing on the app itself..I've no idea how to do a scan for fault codes

mine also says no codes stored on ecu, but a mechanic used their scanner and I have fault codes, but my veepeak didn't show anything.

Mine says no codes stores on ecu, but I have an airbag light still present on dash.... using elm327 with torque app.... I followed instructions step by step, airbag light stil there

Question, my ELM327 arrived in ADHOC mode (stupid) for 6 years i would use it searching non stop for an STN or Infrastructre mode or Version of the product, one day i decided to see if port 80 is open, it was (HTTP GUI), i switched it to Station mode, i entered SSD, Encryption (WPA2PSK CCMP) and the key ( even kept a screen shot) the ELM327 connects a few seconds to the AP and disconnects. I made sure the AP is set to the same Encryption type, and key... I even set a static/Fixed in the ELM327 .. Any tips? The unit is close to AP, tried many APs, legacy, wrt54g, dd-wrt. different channels. no go .

For some reason, mine isn't connecting. Wifi on, app open, Bluetooth connected, location on. It doesn't open to the screen you're did at the 1:50ish mark

It works only for engine codes and baterry people, not for TCM, ABS but for 12.99 us is fantastic jajaja
