The older daughter is bang on. “But you’re the mother”. Her mother said she could ask her anything then kicked off when she asked what she wanted to know which was very valid about how it doesn’t affect just Jodie.

They always toss out the comment, "We feel for the victims' families as well, " as an afterthought. You get to flirt with your killer boyfriend all day...while the families of the victims suffer horribly.

If she put a fraction of the effort she spent on Jody into being a better parent and getting a job - maybe she wouldn't feel imprisoned in her own home waiting for the phone to ring.

He has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Its one thing to involve yourself with a convicted murderer, but to involve your little girl....

Loneliness is such a powerful emotion. It's obviously driving this woman to go down a rabbit hole that does not serve her children well. She says she feels trapped, which is true. "Who in their right mind is involved with someone on death row?" No one. Her loneliness has trapped her in a dysfunctional relationship, which is hurting her children. God help them.

This woman has the emotions of a dramatic teenager! Her hissy fits on the phone, her obsession over talking to this killer. Ignoring her kids to boot. She loves chaos.

She says her first priority is her children, especially her younger child. How can that be the case if you won’t leave your house except for 20 minutes to buy groceries. Your younger child needs you. You are a hostage to a death row inmate, and your children are paying the price.

Instead of looking for a job and connecting with her kids she chats with her inmate bf every day for hours.It's like an addiction to escape reality. She is truly delusional but I wish her to heal one day

9 Minutes in and I already think this woman is unhinged. "Dating" a death row inmate is just the icing on the cake.

I understand why she did not tell her daughters. What I don't undetstand is how hateful she was when her daughter asked her a question. The daughter was concerned with her mother's feelings and the mother reacted horribly.

These women don't realise the prisoners are more than likely writing and receiving many visits and letters from other women.
The first women doesn't devote her time to her children, she could of holidayed with her girls, yet she probably spends all her money on a guy that is a killer. The second bloke looks like a player to me.
I've known a few people in prison they will play people to pass the time and money sent to them.
I looked up Sandy Blanton, and she passed away in 2013.

Her 'kids come first'.. she visited the graves of children to impress her man, yet can't sit down and have an adult conversation with her oldest daughter who is clearly worried about her mother. Who's coming first?
