it depends on your definition of teamwork, honestly. some people think that by saying blue lock casts aside teamwork, it means to say that synergy among teammates isn't necessary. *that* statement is untrue, because - and this could be considered a spoiler -




ego introduces the importance of what bllk calls "chemical reactions, " which are basically the result of mixing your own weapon with another's. that's to say that there's some "teamwork" involved, in the sense that people are working together in the literal sense. the thing about blue lock, however, is although it states that synergy among teammates is important - a chaotic team that only tries to score is terrible after all, shown by team Z's first match - it doesn't quite put all teammates on equal footing. if you take team Z's match against team X and think about barou's goal turning 0 into 1, the rest of the team then revolved around him to help him score, so there's teamwork in the sense that the plays aren't being made by barou's power and his alone, but it puts barou on a pedestal. because he's the best player in the sense that he can score the most goals, he's put at the center of the team's dynamic.

so yeah; people work together but aren't on equal footing because the bllk project is trying to create that one striker that can score an overwhelming number of goals and have the rest of the team move to match them.

dude, when i started watching it i got to the last episode (ep 5 at the time) i wanted more. then i read all of the manga in one day and it ends in a cliffhanger where the isagi "evolves" made me a little mad.

Well, the show sounds somewhat interesting. The few clips I've seen are fun. However, what you said at the end of this video makes you sound completely insane. "I wish some government would kidnap a bunch of kids and make them play a football version of The Hunger Games".

I tried liking this show but its so cringe that its physically impossible to watch even at 4x speed lmao. The animation is awesome but theres too much monologues ingame that it kinda kills the action for me. I rate it cringe/10

I honestly think that the concept is kindof cool but the cringy dialog and one beat shallow side characters make this show unwatched. I wish the side characters personalities, dialog, and actual soccer play were more grounded in reality because as it is this show is too cringy to watch.
