As an athlete, getting your chances of being a pro player ripped away from you is as bad as death

There’s a reason Connor is on a podcast called Trash Taste

It's okay, fellow Egoists. Connor is British, so his opinion doesn't count.

I find the censoring of "die" with "unalive" in the baked-in overlay captions, but _not_ the actual audio that gets analyzed by YouTube, to be ridiculous lol

To be fair this is everything you've worked for your entire life being stripped away from you forever

The reason they're so ridiculously upset when they get kicked out is that they also lose the opportunity to play for any other professional team too. Their pro career literally "dies" if they get kicked.

EDIT: I was totally off on my post-- they only lose the chance to compete on Japan's national team in the future. Their pro careers are otherwise unaffected. I guess since everyone who gets eliminated acts like they've been given a death sentence, I made a mistake about the consequences.

Connor needs to watch the barou match where isagi insults him enough for him to have a character development mid game 😂

Not hate
But Connor doesn’t know that in some cases people spend most of their early life not having a life and just focusing on their talent to become pro at it

So facing a challenge that if fail means you can’t no longer be pro or do anything about it

Is like knowing you be killed but you will not be fully kill and just waiting to die, wanting to die but can’t… just wait to finally die

Yes is lame … but people in sport take their career seriously

Once it is destroyed they feel like they have nothing left

Sometimes Connor really does fit the bill for the podcast name lol.

"lets win with the power of friendship and teamwork".

you do realize that, that's literaly how good teams win, right?
here in Brazil we even have a word for that, its called "entrosamento" which basically means, how well the players know, and player together.

its literal power of friendship and teamwork.

Could we talk about how the "bad guy" in Blue Lock is Mr. Crocker from Fairly Odd Parents?

I just watched blue lock and it was amazing.
The best part was that basically every single person was drawn and acted like a main character so you never knew who was gonna lose.

I binged Blue Lock in a day and it actually surprised how fantastic it was. It was intense and was my first sports Anime. I learned a lot from it too

See irony is that the author of Blue Lock also wrote a Death Game manga before 😂

Ironically, Blue Lock is what got me into sports anime. I thought Haikyuu was just a one hit wonder, the only sports anime that's good. Then I gave Blue Lock a chance and the door opened up for me. I watched Kuroko's Basket after that, and I was not disappointed. I love this genre
