I keep leaking oil but mainly when it sits. Oil cooler seal, and valve cover gasket were just replaced. So can't be that. Any other possibility, comes out alot within a few hours and seems to be coming from the back of the engine. Help.

I’m curious I have a 2006 coupe when does that oil light come on because when I bought the car it was 2 1/2 quarts low it took 2 quarts to even touch the dipstick and there was no oil light, engine ran smooth and quiet as could be…. And yes, the oil light does work whenever you turn the ignition on it’s there car has no codes.
It took 3 quarts to get it in between L and H, haha! I guess we know these things will run fine on less than 2 1/2 quarts of oil

When I take out the dipstick there is oil all over the dipstick.

This is the most biggest slap to the face by engineers, something so simple ruined by design. Most people wont be able to get an accurate reading, my guess is that you have to work on infiniti's so much that your used to this crappy dipstick.

Fuck. I poured the whole bottle of 5w30 it just kept drinking the oil so i kept pouring. Am i fucked ? 🤦🏽‍♂️
