This man’s name is Barry and he is unfortunately deceased. He was well-loved in the GunTube community. Rest In Peace good sir. Your videos still make us smile 🥲

Some 2A clarification. “The right of the people to keep and bear arms... shall not be infringed.”

5 is a good start. And damn right it sounds a little militia-ee. Its part of our constitution.

This video is from 2012. The gentleman speaking passed away a few years ago, from a heart attack. RIP Barry

US history puts quite a bit of emphasis on personal firearm ownership which is (understandably) confusing to many people. The founding fathers believed that any government could easily become usurpacious and tyrannical if left unchecked. The 2nd amendment was designed as a sort of final safeguard against tyranny. Many people around the world don't understand how civilians could overthrow a government but when studying the Afghanistan debacle and the level of weaponry that was available to them and then comparing that to the number of firearms owned by US citizens, it becomes evident that the 2nd amendment is still valuable today. To be clear though, I believe that every citizen who wants to own a firearm should seek out training. Knowledge and discipline are something that many people are sorely lacking.

As an American, the rule I've once been told is: "If you still know the exact number of guns you own, you don't own enough guns."

I think this is a mix of hunting, protection and being prepared for potential civil unrest. I personally have never owned a gun but probably will eventually buy one. You never know if you’ll wake up to intruders.

The US has a Bill of Rights, not a Bill of Needs. Unfortunately some states didn't get the memo.
Magazine size is really irrelevant. I have 30 round 5.56 mags and 20 round 7.62 mags. All this means is that I need 50% more magazines for 7.62 since I keep about 1200 rounds of each in mags at any given time.

Over the last 10 years, that crate of rifles and ammo have appreciated 400%.

Mosin Nagant is a fantastic rifle. They do come in crates for cheap. Fun to shoot and really accurate even with only iron sights. I’d add a Winchester 30-30 to this list. Unfortunately, I lost all of mine in a boating accident.

Growing up in a mainly rural area of PA, about 2.5 hrs from NYC, probably a majority of homes had a shotgun and half had a shotgun & a ‘deer’ rifle.
A lot of my friends got a .22 cal rifle at about 12 - as did I - for practice shooting.
My USMC brother had several handguns, including a magnum, which took when traveling in his camper. He said, “it’s really loud, and even if you don’t hit your attacker center mass, some part of him gets blown off!” Big deterrent!

If you are into hunting, you’re more likely to want multiple firearms, as each would have advantage or disadvantage for hunting various game.

If you are only going to get 5, this guy is right, this combination will pretty suit any need or want that came up.

As an American we're very serious about our guns.

“Can your guns stop the US military and their bombs?!!”
“No, but it didn’t stop the Taliban in Afghanistan either”

A lot of people who argue against guns in the US fail to realize the right to bear arms was put in the Constitution not for hunters but for the ability to challenge a tyrannical government from home or abroad. Everyone having a gun resulted in victory during the Revolutionary War.

i'm a leftist and believe everyone has the right to own as many guns as they want to protect themselves.

I have a friend obsessed with guns. He says with a thick southern accent "my gun rack has it's own gunrack".
