That Yellow Lightsaber crap, you nailed it. That's definitely why they are doing that. No question. - It's a so see thru attempt at trying to legitimize Rey it's not even funny. In the Clone Wars series, the Temple guards had them, but they didn't make them, they get them issued to them when they go on duty and turned in when off. With Rey it 'just happened'. - 'Rey Skywalker', another thing her and the Skywalkers have in common! Proof she's a Skywalker, Yellow!

Maybe he'll get the lightsaber, leave it on Tatooine and that explains how Rey got the yellow crystal when she got to Tatooine. Because we need comics to explain the incompetence of our film writers.

So he gave Luke a yellow saber as an homage to some random toy from 4 decades ago that no one remembers. If I were in the Toxic Brood I'd say he did it to retcon Rey Palpatine (sorry I mean Rey Skywalker) and then did a google search for "yellow lightsaber" and found a toy and said "eh, whatever, I gotta go cash this Disney check now." I'd also accuse him of stealing the saber design because he couldn't be bothered to design his own.

I hate how Disney tries so hard to justify the mess they made. The new comics suck except for Vader for whatever reason. I don't understand people.
