scouring wool // Learn to Spin from Fleece

Today I show you one of many ways to sort and scour raw wool for spinning. You can do this in smaller batches using lingerie bags and the kitchen sink. If you have a septic tank, do NOT dump the first scour wash down the drain. The lanolin can cause your septic tank issues. I have sewage, so don't have to worry about that. Also, that dirty water is great food for you garden.

This scour video was filmed on a rainy/stormy day, so hot dry weather is not a requirement but does help with drying.
