Around the world, a majority of people have one common factor that shapes their world view…It's called 'anthropocentrism'. It's so embedded in how so many of us think that you’ve probably never even considered it. Anthropocentrism is basically the notion of human supremacy over all living things. It can drive our sense of entitlement to see nature as a resource - and it’s why we presume to control the world, trying to bend it to our every will and convenience. We urgently need to change this perspective.

On our walk this morning, we encountered 2 coyotes. I felt so bad. They are so beautiful, and they used to rule the SW, but today they are on the run, looking for safety, a place to raise their young. We have no moral conscience. People do not understand these amazing animals' place in Nature. We need them but we treat them as expendable life forms that don't matter. I've lived long enough to remember The Wild. I was brought up living WITH NATURE. I'm sad at what we've done.

Many affluent people consume resources to help them feel better about them selfs. Rather than being kind or helpful, boxs and boxs of stuff they find a place to dispose of when they have more boxes of stuff to help them feel better over and over, take care of the wonderful body so maybe you can feel better fora great reason ( being helpful), Peace.

When the Environment minister in Australian appealed the young people winning their court case for a safe future, we saw the limits of the capitalist representative system we live in. People have been doing politics at sites of extraction around the continent and you failed to report on that. A good series overall, but playing into the dominant paradigm of change through courts and parliaments, systems set up to continue the crisis, you quietly reinforced them and legitamised them. This was a great chance to explore the direct action effect on this continent and the possibilities it presents. And you ignored it.
