Great stuff! I’ve been meaning to ask though - why do you have the lid / cosmetic barrier (?) removed from the piano where you can see the unfinished wood of the keys? I mean, I love it, and my guess is that it’s for more direct, unhindered sound directly from the hammer on the string to your ears with no barriers? And perhaps when you can see the entire key you can pay attention to extra granular nuance and expression techniques?
Or maybe it’s just in the shop getting fixed 🤔
I’m a engineer and when the session permits, I love taking the entire piano lid OFF the piano since its purpose originally was to dampen the sound when closed OR direct the sound towards the audience before they had PA systems (or electricity). But if neither of those things are a concern, I say take it off, put up an original AKG C24 dual capsule stereo mic, or a pair of Earthworks TC-30Ks or Royer 121s ribbons and get a gorgeous Mid-Side bigger than life stereo image that perfectly collapses to mono with no phase issues. :chefs kiss:🤌 belissimo!

Watching your videos for tips is never ever wasted! But from another point of view, your elegant hands and wonderful technique tend to hide how difficult it can be for the rest of us!
