I found a privately owned ice cream shop where I live that serves two of my favorite shakes - Banana and Strawberry Cheesecake. Their waffle cones are so huge you cannot eat them fast enough before it's melting all over you. So I switched to a waffle cone in a dish with a broken-up waffle cone in it.

If you really enjoy the flavor and texture of soft serve in particular, the brand Blue Bunny has a new line of flavors called "Blue Bunny Soft" and the vanilla one tastes exactly like McDonald's/DQ soft serve. They also had a minto chocolate chip flavor and a cookies and cream flavor (two of my top 3 favorite flavors) but I wanted to test out the vanilla first.
