This is an instructional video by Med Lab Diagnostics to show you how to use UTI Test strips to test for a urinary tract infection. This video will also show you what a positive v.s negative result will look like on the UTI test strips. The leukocyte pad is the top pad, the nitrite pad is the bottom pad on the strip.

Thank you so much, this helped a lot, I was soo confused. Mike straight up came up as purple and pink and I knew it was absolutely positive with all the symptoms I’m having haha.

I seem to always get a false positive reading when I use these test strips. I have tried two different brands of these kits on two separate occasions, and got a positive result (strip turned purple). What would cause a positive result if you don't have an infection? For the above reason, I no longer use these kits! LOL!

Whats the difference between the 2 different colors (leukocytes, etc) in regards to reading the test. If the 2nd part of sample (not the purple one) was positive without a purple box, us that also positive and whats the diagnostic difference between the 2?

Also, how do you know if those cups aren't contaminated?

I tested my daughter and the leukocyte result looks red, not purple. What is that?

I did 2 of those home tests and it was purple went to the doctor and they said I did not have a UTI

The sample showing UTI negative, acutally looks horrible for common man eyes
