a friend told me a myth about pokemon emerald, when you beat the elite 4 100 times, get all gold symbols in the battle frontier and drive with the cable car 1000 times you can capture jirachi....so i saw this guy many times actually and thought it was a sign for progress

Man you don't know how much I have insisted witth my friends when I was a kid that there was a NPC climbing down. Never found him again though.
After some time I convinced myself that I was wrong and that NPC was a mere hallucination.

- the odds of this happening are 1/64
- the NPC can be both a hiker and a camper
- it was planned that this event could also happen with a Poochyena (in Ruby/Sapphire) or a Zigzagoon (Emerald), but this doesnt work because of an error in the code

I didn't know this was a thing. I love hidden stuff like this. I recently learned that you could look out the window of the SS Tidal while it's sailing between Slateport and Lilycove and watch it sail through the routes. Always fun to find secrets in your favorite game.
