6Strings, 10 fingers. The only thing that stops a player is, determination, desire, and dexterity! For all it's faults YouTube has helped shine a light on many gifted but unknown performers. Peace and Love.

Every time I hear the altered music you use for the blocked videos intro, I think of recommending the Alip Ba Ta version of "My Heart Will Go On".

Beautiful! It's more a matter of the tone in his hands (and some of it in that sweet guitar, too), and the "song" - the "singing" of it, rather than any ornamentation put on the performance than anything else. Yes, the heart. The soul of it. If he didn't have that, he'd be just one among many "guitar athletes" out there these days. (They're great, but it's only a few who have this kind of feel - to play completely absorbed in the song, so that you sit there with a bit of a slack jaw, just out of the pleasure of going along for a ride on this version of the song.) (He substitutes a few of his own chords at times, and makes it sound almost traditional Italian or traditional Portuguese - at least to these inexpert ears - but he definitely isn't doing a replication here; he's taking in the song and giving it back through his own musical intuitions - putting himself in it.

You _can_ play guitar BTW. It's just a matter of loving the sound you make instead of chasing after some "ideal" that will be unsatisfying the day after you catch if you ever do. Start out easy enough to be able to chase after tunes and little fragments of tunes that catch your ear, and even if you don't make your way to some stage (if anybody does any more) you'll make yourself happy for having bashed the guitar. (Says someone who hasn't played in ages, now. But I have an excuse. My middle finger has picked up issues, and it hurts to play, so I can't. Probably because I spend too much of my traffic time gesturing too rudely or something.)

If you have a guitar. (I think you do? Or was it a ukelele?) Tune the deepest string (the "bottom" string, pitchwise) down to D from E (just sound it together with the "D string" until they sound nice together). Now your (physically) top three strings are power chord with added octave, and you're ready to riff quite a of your favourite metal on them. Don't do this fancy "positional playing"; just run up and down the whole neck hunting for the notes and chords you need. Experiment with that, and you have enough to entertain yourself for quite a long time, while at the same time hardening your fingers. (Don't overdo that. The idea is to provide only just enough pressure. Take the risk of making the strings buzz, rather than making sure they stay still, and you'll find that's the better error. The other more technical tip to aim for at this stage is to finger the notes almost on top of the frets, rather than right in the middle (it'll help save you from over-pressure and accidental "pressure bends"). Again it's choosing the best error mode rather than the "perfect way". Rather fret where you have nice control, but might sometimes muffle a bit than further back.

Now after a few months of that, come back and ask the experts for the one next best game you can play on your guitar. I think there are some here who actually know a thing or two about the guitar, so you might even make progress toward "being able to play" (which you first need to play in the playful sense, to manage.)

Masterful touch, very enjoyable, thank you.
I quit and was inspired many times during that song but like Ew said, just enjoy the journey and the therapy it can be, sooner or later it will become even more an expression of you. Fun fun.

Outstanding performance, bravo! For more masterful guitar playing check out Tommy Emmanuel (Classical Gas, The Hunt, Mombasa) who used to play with the legendary Chet Atkins.
