2022 Suzuki GSX S1000GT - A proper sports tourer!

The New 2022 Suzuki GSX S1000GT sticks to the traditional sports tourer recipe in a world where more upright 'adventure' styled tourers are encroaching more and more. Now, I love an adventure bike and I'm of that age where the more upright the better frankly, so how does Suzuki's new GSX S1000GT model stack up? It promises a mix of a fast sporty ride, long-distance comfort and practicality to boot, so what did I discover in this first ride review?

I gave up on the Patreon, it didn't quite sit right with me and I struggled to put extra content out to justify it.

Ive seen 10+ reviews on this one. Yours have been the best in explaining it from A to B.
Thank you

Finally a vlog that has found the vibration that I and another rider found on a suzuki test ride day, when I/we mentioned about the small vibration at 5000revs the suzuki team said they had never felt it 🤔 but this didn't put me off, lovely bike. 👍

Hi Tony, a great review. Thank you. I’ve always loved that colour. The first Suzuki bike I purchased with racing in mind was a brand new RGV-250 in 1995 (same colour), that was raced in the Australian 250 production class. I still have it today in storage as all fluids were drained 22 years ago. I did end up staying with Suzuki until I reached racing Superbikes when they were 750 4 cylinder Japanese bikes or the 916 Ducati. For what this is it does offer a lot for not much money. I will be testing one, just need to create room in my garage for an additional toy (and convince the CFO…). 👍😎🇦🇺

Great review as always Tony. I don't understand why Suzuki didn't make the screen adjustable. In the 'Sports/ Touring' market surely that's a must-have for long distance riding? I've got a Tiger 1050 Sport as my second bike and I adjust the screen at least twice on long rides to fit the roads I'm on. Good luck with expanding the channel.

Hi my ole British friend. Suzuki really does have some good models that deserve to be looked at. That said please keep up the good work as I really enjoy viewing your channel. You always deliver top notch production. Have a beautiful day!!! Your friend from the other side of the pond. Illinois, USA

Hey Tony, great review as always. Do you know what passenger comfort is, as that's also an important part of a touring setup.

Great review Tony as always, do you think that Suzuki missed a trick by not having an adjustable screen, whether it's needed or not. In today's market...?

I great review and thanks! I started looking at this bike because I have been trying look at sport touring bikes which has become a dying segment. This bikes looks and seems good but the issue with the breaks kind of concerns me. I like good breaks and suspension on my bikes. What do you think of the suspension and what other sport tourers do you suggest and you have reviewed so that I can take a look at them? Thanks

I enjoyed your review. I'm new to your channel and videos but the few I've seen so far I really enjoy. Thank you.

Now to my question regarding this bike, Gsx100GT... Nobody's really reviewed the level of comfort the rear seat offers. If you have that information, I'd love to hear it as my wife rides with me sometimes. Currently I own a 2006 RT and she's quite comfortable on that. And if I bought this Suzuki just wondering how it might compare. Looks to me like it won't compare very well but I don't know for sure. Anyway, thanks for your time if you end up answering my question. Take care. 🏍️🙂

Great review. If it weren't for my affinity for dirt roads, I'd be very tempted by this bike.

Any INTERNAL CARRYING capacity in there? At least enough for a moderate toolkit? This is my biggest gripe about the MT-10: ZERO internal storage, nope, not even for a toolkit, (which they don't provide anyway, except an Allen key and a shock spanner). I do a LOT of Sport Touring in the US...and yes, you NEED a proper toolkit.

Thanks for an honest report. You're the first to mention the slight vibration around 5k rpm. Do you think it's more or less than the vibration zone on an FJR (3500-4500rpm). ? Thanks.
