Something that's helped me is the idea of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). What is the BARE MINIMUM that I need to accomplish my goal? "Get house ready for guest" --> clean towel, set of sheets, pillow, blanket, space for their bags, room for inflatable mattress, something in the fridge to serve them. Literally anything else (clean sink, swept floor, organized house) goes on a list of "nice to have", which I only do after I meet my MVP. When tasks multiply, I ask: is this blocking my MVP, or is it a nice to have? If I don't have clean linens but I also need to do laundry, I do the linens first, maybe with underwear thrown in. No sorting darks from lights, no handwashing delicates, no getting more detergent if I already have some. If I don't have space for the mattress because I've been meaning to organize my space, I stack my stuff on top of itself to clear room and put "organize" on the "nice to have" list for later. If the people I host are bothered by the mess, dealing with that is a conversation I will also have LATER. I give myself permission to do a half-assed job, because honestly? I haven't had any complaints.

Issue for me is, 1 task multiplies into several smaller tasks, and each of those multiplies into their own smaller tasks, which each multiply into THEIR own smaller tasks, until eventually, from 1 task, theres 1000+ tasks to be done, and then my executive function just says, 'NOPE'

Brown noise works wonders for me. It takes a few minutes to really kick in. It’s a natural way to produce dopamine. White noise and pink noise also work for some people, but I prefer brown noise. Give it a try! ADHD is hard ❤

My whole life is in an Excel spreadsheet 😁. I assign numbers for priority and the auto sort at the end is a nice depoamine hit

That last one hit me right in my ADHD funny bone. Crippling perfectionism! Followed by anxiety! Followed by burnout! Followed by depression! Followed by self deprecating humor to cope! YAY! lol

I write a list, have over 100 alarms, reminders, and the calendar app on iPhone. Take action, I’ve been off my meds for over a year and have learned natural effective ways to manage my symptoms.

Stop telling yourself you can’t do it, and start telling yourself you can!

Change your perspective and attitude and everything will change. Simple words but hard work to do…it is possible and I never thought I would be able to do this..❤

Hey... On your Tiktok few years ago you had posted a Kitchen cleaning one with yellow postits and it was reviewed in the How to ADHD youtube channel so saw it there.. I related so much to that one and wanted to forward to a few family and friends to make them understand my situation... Unfortunately we have Tiktok banned in our country and I did not find it on your Youtube or Instagram feed so if it's not too much to ask can you pls upload it on Yt or Insta? Keep up the great work on educating and making people aware about ADHD 😊👍

"Some people need medication ... it just depends on your personality..."

Uh, no. For most people with ADHD, stimulant medication is the most effective single treatment by a substantial margin. It is very important that people understand this.

How do I send this to my mom when she says I just have to do it XD. Like mom the frequency of breaks depends on how stressful the task was this particular task needed alot of emotional wrangling or I would have exploded out of my head purple fire like ember from elmental like 😅😢😂😢😂

Please don't avoid the most important tasks ♡ I know it sucks and it can be super hard but avoiding them can cause things to become even worse.
I'm about to become homeless coz I forgot to pay my rent due to my adhd autism and forgetfulness from my fibromyalgia , paying rent is a task I just forgot as I thought it was set up but never checked :/

I've been told that I have a talent for complicating the simple. (Can't get Adderall lately, either. So not helping.)

I also believe that those pink post-its are in slightly the wrong place. If you could please move them closer to the starred one and start layering them over it, that's more like my ADHD because it takes into account that third dimension of depth. I look at my life like a row of dominoes. I deal with the first one and then slide it aside. If a domino that is nine Domino's away is on fire, I can choose to take the first nine and slide them aside whether they're done or not, or I can let that one burn.
