How does manufacturing become sustainable? How do we connect our cycles of production and consumption to reduce waste and keep resources in play for as long as possible?

The answer lies in the circular economy, a concept that describes an ongoing cycle of manufacturing in which used materials, scrap and waste are constantly fed back into the system. The idea takes cues from the regenerative natural world, but applies them to these manmade systems. Additive manufacturing (AM) and 3D printing technology will be key to establishing a circular economy. This video, the first in our series on 3D Printing and the Circular Economy, explains the circular economy and what sustainable manufacturing means.

I have to consider the metal strength of 3D printing. In some applications, strength is much important than other properties. But I saw a video on YouTube talking about the strength is not so stronger than the traditional manufacturing method in same conditions and materials?🤔

thanks for your interesting videos about 3D printing and circular economy.
I have a question.
As far as social sustainability is concerned, does recycling 3D printing filament cause bad effect of near resident’s life?
does recycling 3D printing filament create pollution?
