Italian vs Austrian McDonald's

Today I traveled to Italy and Austria to sample the different menu items in each country.

Fun fact: Austria is actually the beta tester country for McDonald's in Europe (probably due to being a wealthy small country), so many of the new flavors and technology (like the McDonald's app) arrive first to Austria. I remember there were always new, funky burger flavours as well when I lived there, which I think is related.

I live in Vienna and my favourite thing about McDonald's is their advertisements. They always come up with super creative wordplays. (Especially at McCafé) If you know german you definitely have to check them out. I actually only go to McDonald's to get Matcha Latte as I don't like their food

It's the only baroque one because the building is protected.

Austrian fries and beef are all made using the best quality ingriedients from our country. (Quite a surprise for McDonalds standards) And Hot Devil sauce id also my favorite!

As an Austrian I just wanted to mention one thing very special about the Austrian Mcdonalds. A lot of the ingredients used in Mcdonalds are used from local Farms and are NOT imported. Which is one of the main reasons it taste soo good :D

I lived and worked in Austria. McDonalds over there has big standards as in another country. And in Italy you are not going to McDonalds jeez. But during the Winter Season in Austria and Germany they sell the Big Rösti. It‘s an amazing and very rustic Burger.
