When time to take off, is it hard to take off the double sided tape? Will it ruin the finish of your frame?

Only one thing more iyou could have given is when getting the paper to come off double sided stick tape

People say if you blow dry, the cold winter air eventually shrinks it even more and it pulls from the tape. True??

Looks like he might be missing a step. There's a strip of tape already on the plastic which is supposed to be placed at the top of the window. I think he's using 'duck' brand.
