I compare a stock 6.7 cummins to a deleted 6.7 cummins, this video goes over the difference in power, throttle response, sound and most importantly fuel economy.

29MPGs x 50Gallons =1450 miles per tank. EPA needs to reconsider their non-environmental friendly crap they put on these machines. Oh another thing, love the fact that we are saving the planet by filling the DEF fluid from non-reusable plastic jugs. Government efficiency and brains at it's finest. Fine people that roll coal, let everyone else enjoy a hard working truck

Shocked at the 29-30 mpg hwy at 65 mph. These trucks are so ready to work if they weren’t hampered by the EPA. Good video 👍

I will say this is probably the best Cummins delete video literally there’s no goofing around bs it’s literally everything you need to know and you don’t have to deal with the nonsense

Best delete videos on YouTube hands down ! Keep posting more mechanic videos.

I did a full delete with a +100hp tune and managed to get the same mpg, full delete with modified stock tune I went from 17mpg to 25mpg.

Thanks for representing the reliability and fuel economy guys. We don't all want deleted trucks to roll coal. I would love to do this but I'm in the US.

This is probably the best video out there explaining everything that truck ppl are into! The info and comparison is the best 👌

Deleted and tuned my 2016 yesterday and oh my gosh what a difference in power, throttle response, and fuel mileage. Before it averaged 16mpg. On the way into work today it got. 23mpg. I have awoke a sleeping giant.

5 mpg difference that is a whole hell of a lot for the lifetime of a diesel truck

That's a much bigger difference than I ever would have guessed. Some of it may be deleting the exhaust gas recirculation valve, (EGR) and some might be restriction in the DPF. While those parts are off, you might see if it's possible to flow test, clean, or perhaps, just replace it. With the straight pipe exhaust, I could really hear the "whistle" if the turbocharger. The black smoke happens for the same reason, you feel the "snappy" throttle response. With the factory tune, it measures boost pressure, not allowing the injection pump to inject too much fuel, for the amount of air available to burn it. With the aftermarket tune, the pump squirts in the amount of fuel indicated by throttle position, regardless of boost. It smokes, until the turbo has time to "catch up". Don't use an aftermarket tune with the exhaust in place, because it will quickly foul the DPF. Using similar to a factory tune with the delete will eliminate the puff of black smoke, but, the throttle will feel more like stock. (sluggish, by comparison)You will, however, keep the good fuel economy, and the power.
For the next experiment, try deleting the EGR, but leave the DPF and SCR in place. While the truck will feel "stock", it might gain the fuel efficiency, and, I think, will actually make the DPF last longer, and regenerate less frequently.

So crazy. Its getting the same MPG as a 5.9 but with TWICE the HP and torque! The throttle response on stock 68s is so maddeningly frustrating. I love this, ahem, "small modification"!

Best delete video I could find. EPA needs to pull their heads outa their ass with making these trucks run so inefficiently

Thumbs up for not being an advocate for rolling coal! Good stuff bud

It would be nice to test the exhaust gases before and after delete to see the difference.

I like how you did everything so that I can easily be put back and work when needed. In my area if you register your truck commercial there are no emissions at this point in time. I’ve been buying and driving older trucks just to avoid all the mileage and lack of reliability of emissions equipped trucks as well as I drive stick only. So picking have been slim. This info opens horizons alittle. Thank you.

Funny how the epa would rather choke up these engines and get 13-15mpg instead of letting them breathe and get 29-30mpg.

I wish i never watched this. I can’t get that sound out of my head now.

This video is at a higher level than in the past. With better content

It would be interesting to find out which delete made the bigger difference and what impact tuning alone would do. Myself, I’d really like to turf the EGR. As for DEF, I see the environmental positives but once my warranty is gone I’m thinking delete that too.
