Hi, just saw this video. Thank you for the explanation. By comparing different ways to setup the RMX1000 to my Xone 96 mixer, I have come up with my own way of setting up the RMX1000 to my Xone 96.. I find that my sound quality is better this way because i am not routing via Master BUS send and returns From and To the mixer.

Instead I plug in my CDJ's as usual into my mixer channels. Then I use the Send 1 out on my Xone 96 to my RMX1000 and then from RMX1000 into the Return A of the Xone 96 mixer. Then I make one of my Fader channels on the Xone96 get the Return A signal from the RMX1000 by selecting input knob to Return A. This way, if I am not actively using any effects on the RMX1000, then nothing is mixed into the audio from the CDJ's and it's crystal clear. Then if I want to add the RMX1000 effects into the mix, I can just slide up my Fader on Return A channel to desired volume for "Mix in". This will return in much cleaner audio for me and allow independant controls or volume as well on my Xone 96. I'll like to see if others are doing it this way as well. When comparing sound quality this definitely sounds cleaner than using the Master Bus Send and Return when all the audio is continuously routed through the RMX1000 100% of the time.

So I was getting ready to buy a RMX 1000, until I read some of the comments, so just so I’m understanding you correctly, you cannot isolate the effects from the RMX to a specific channel, the selected effect would effect all channels being played?

Hi, i've got a question! I did the routing this way and i use it for digital mixing but is there a way to NOT route the signal from my turntables through the rmx 1000? The whole 'analouge' benefit disappears when i route the analog signal through the rmx1000 and now if the cables are connected how you guys show it i dont have any sound when the rmx1000 is off. So; how can i get sound directly from my turntables when the cables are connected and my rmx is off?

Do you have a reverb and delay unit you prefer to use as a send/return, since this device is more of a master insert?

Hej Xonedjofficial, I'm using Xone 96 and RMX1000 via send/return and rotted it to channel A, its much easier to control signals coming from RMX1000, but of course effects such as brake/echo/spin will not work properly :)

For what reason are the send/return channels on the 96 designed for? How i understand the comments and answers, there is no option to use external effects because of the phasing issue…?
I think 90% of the djs use effects mostly on channels to do transitions… 😅

6HI, purchased a Xone 96 and tag it together with a pioneer EFX 500, the Flanger effect sound distorted, i couldn't make out the Trans effects, my connect is Master Send Xone 96 --> Efx 1000 input --> Output ---> Xone 96 Return B

I have a Model 1 mixer but it doesn’t quite work well with the Pioneer RMX 1000 Station. The RMX works fine. Whether I come out of the auxiliary or booth to the RMX then back to the mixer via return it just doesn’t sound right. Could there be something wrong with the mixer or something else?
