The figure depicts the motion of a particle moving along an x axis with a constant acceleration. The figure’s vertical scaling is set by xs = 6.0 m. What are the (a) magnitude and (b) direction of the particle’s acceleration?

if the graph has constant acceleration, we can just pick the 2 points we are trying to find the magnitude of and get the slope. In this case we would get y2-y1 / x2-x1 = 6 - (-2) / 2- 0 = 8 / 2 = 4 m/s^2

I did this exercise by finding the equation of the motion and derivate it twice, would it still be acceptable in an exam?
