AM on BuzzFeedTasty!!! 🌈 and a $50K donation

“Yum Som Oh” Grapefruit Salad with Thai Coconut Dressing is an homage recipe to my mother 🙏🏼❤️🙌🏾 but not only am I constantly celebrating her through my food, I’m celebrating the pride I have for my LGBTQ community and the quest for visibility, acceptance and respect. I was honored when @jesseszewczyk contacted me to contribute to the Tasty Pride Cookbook. And after the book published, I was thrilled to collaborate with @buzzfeedtasty taking over their #instastory a couple weeks ago. Here is an extended version of my takeover. I hope you make this recipe or better yet, grab a copy of the book that features heartfelt stories and recipes from over 75 chefs of the LGBTQ community. I look forward to sharing my love and point of view with future contributions. It’s important to have a voice and I’m grateful that platforms like this allow us to share in ways we know how. To me, food is love and with strength in numbers, impact is undeniable.
