FREE pdf - 3 Best Ways to IMPROVE Your Posture

There are MANY proprioception exercises you can use to help strengthen the upper and lower body, these are just some of them. Proprioception is a fancy word for 'body awareness' for various parts of the body. Another way of putting it is having a strong sense or connection from your brain to parts of your body while in motion. This video focuses on multiple proprioception exercises using different surfaces, standing on a single leg, movement with eyes closed, body weight only or using dumbbells or bands for added resistance.

Remember, there are a number of ways to use proprioception movements, this video only scratches the surface. As already stated, it really comes down to creating a stronger connection throughout your body...Connecting the mind to the intended body part and establishing control.

Proprioception exercises are great for all types of people: high level athletes, people going through rehabilitation and for seniors looking to incorporate more activity in their lives. The mind muscle connection is a super important relationship to spend time on reinforcing especially as we age. These balance exercises and techniques help to create a stronger connection and ultimately stronger ankles, knees, hips, legs as well as the arms, shoulders, back, chest...even your neck and head!

Proprioceptive training is HIGHLY UNDERRATED! As a veteran trainer of almost a decade, I think most folks should train these sorts of things regularly if they want to achieve anywhere near their max potential

Another good one is standing on a thick cushion like a couch cushion with both feet down and just close your eyes.

So, if I improve in these exercises, will it reduce the likelihood of knocking over my water, knocking dishes into the faucet, and bumping in to things too?
