Pixel Ecosystem Long-term Review | After the Hype

In this video we take a look at the Pixel 7, Pixel Watch and Pixel Buds Pro, some of Google’s latest offerings in their ecosystem and see how well they hold up after using them for nearly 5 months.

Reviewing Google's Pixel 7 almost 5 months later, to discuss if the performance and other Android 13 features are still among the best. The Pixel 7 is my personal favorite phone because of its compact and ergonomic form factor, although the telephoto camera of the Pro is missing on the standard 7 (as it's one of the best telephotos of any smartphone in 2022-2023 so far). Thankfully that's the only place Google has really omitted any features as far as the standard 7 is concerned, and Google's affordable flagship can capture sharp, detailed photos and great looking video almost any time of day. If you thought Samsung's Galaxy S22 Ultra or the iPhone 14 Pro Max were good, the Pixel 7 series is that much better. The Pixel 7 Pro and standard 7 both use Google's Tensor G2, which is a subtle improvement of the first generation in-house chip from Google. It's not the highest benchmarking smartphone SoC out there, but it's absolute overkill for the everyday activities of most average consumers and is priced competitively and even dips below the MSRP with frequent sales from Google and other retailers.

Reviewing Google's Pixel Watch after nearly 5 months of use, to discuss the performance and other Google-y features of this fresh 2022 Wear OS smartwatch. The Pixel Watch is one of the best options for Android users, offering excellent integration for most of Google's features like Pay, Maps etc. Although Samsung's Galaxy Watch 5 Pro does boast better battery life. Longevity aside, what you have here is a reason to keep your phone in your pocket. From the excellent notifications support to the dedicated turn-by-turn navigation and slick fitness tracking, the Google Pixel Watch is packed with great features. It's certainly one of my favorite smart watches that I've ever used, apart from the battery performance. Yes, if you don't want a smartwatch that has to be charged so frequently, maybe consider the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Or an entirely different option like a Ticwatch.

Reviewing Google's Pixel Buds Pro, a pair of premium True Wireless Earbuds fresh released by Google in 2022 which have ANC, dedicated Google Assistant support and a unique design. I've been using the Pixel Buds Pro as my full-time Bluetooth earphones for a few months so here's my verdict. The Pixel Buds Pro don't support many codecs vs other premium 2022 and 2023 rivals, but audio quality is still decent. And while the ANC isn't the best around either, it's good enough to dampen down surrounding noise when needed. My biggest gripe is the slow rollout of features promised at launch like Spatial Audio and Custom EQ and the lack of any hi-res Bluetooth codec support to be worthy of the "Pro" moniker.

**Something I forgot to mention -- Pixel 7 battery life 😅

I typically get about 4 and a half hours of screen-on-time and can get through a full day with the device. Usually ending the day around 10-15%

Everyone uses their phone differently, so your battery life may vary.

As we all know, there are other devices out there that do offer longer battery life and faster charging. These are two things that I hope to see Google improve on the Pixel 8 series with the third generation Tesnor SoC.

Thanks for watching 🙏🏾

If the pixel watch had a tensor chip, and a bigger battery, when paired with pixel buds pro, it could be a great hands-free experience. I think that’s the direction I should go in.

I have a couple 4xls. One Op 7t and few older devices. Sold alot but I've had them all up to that point. The S22 verizon model was gifted to me by family and I must say. I still use my pixel most. And 7t. They run better. The cameras video etc is a step slightly better on s22 but not much. I would not have bought this but I am happy to have it. I would like to get the next gen pixel ....

I love the Pixel watch. The battery life could be better. But it's not bad at all. Fitbit is a little bit overpriced!!!. I use the 6 month free grail right now.
The 7 Pro it's a nice phone. I love all the features. Especially the faster voice typing. Nice camera. Battery life is great. 2 days. No problem.
Pixel Buds. Nice and comfortable.Great Sound. ANC is not bad. But it's better on my Bose QC earbuds 2. Overall I love all the 3 devices. I use them daily.
Thanks for a great video. Greetings from Germany

For me, having Do Not Disturb work independently of my phone is a pro, not a con. That's something that actually bugged me about my Galaxy Watch. But to each their own! From my experience, the combo of Pixel 7/Buds Pro/Pixel Watch has been awesome! I think Google crushed it this year.

so torn between this and the Pixel 6. they are neck and neck save for a few features. but I can't decide which I want to use daily haha.

I'm starting to get on the fence about getting the Pixel 7. The infamous battery issue that is getting to me. I use my phone quite a bit and need that Battery power, also the other downfall about it is the charge time. I'm using the Samsung S20 FE at the moment.

I rock the Pixel 6P, Pixel Buds Gen 2, and I rounded it off with the Pixel watch when it launched.

Thanks to your review, I think I'll upgrade my Pixel buds. For my phone, I'll probably hold out until the 8.

But man where did you get that watch case? It reminds me of the old Swatch Watch bands back in the '80s. Gotta get me one.

Thanks again for the great review. I equally share the same enthusiasm, for the Pixel line.

You helped me out because I have a P6Pro and I was just gonna get a Fitbit Versa 4 smartwatch, but it seems it would probably be better to get a Pixel Watch📲 its smoother than a Fitbit and I think I can deal with the battery life coming from an apple watch 3💯

Hey, what screen protector name and could you provide a link? It seems to handle the finger print well. Mine is not so great when using a screen protector

I am hoping that Google can get some screen sensitivity and screen freezing and gesture freezing bugs ironed out already. The phone has been pretty good except for those issues and needing better cooling.
