Great video! I had listened to the audio book by Albert Ellis how to control anxiety but I had a hard time thinking about the process. Seeing the visual of the abc method helps. There is so much truth within REBT on psychological/emotional problems (not major mental illnesses). However - what is simply not acknowledged is that as a species - most of us - have deep fundamental needs - especially around attachment and emotional relationships. I think that yes REBT to explain a persons distress ----but then ACT methods to handle and manage the feelings - which depending upon how much you value the threat or loss, the more intense they Haye's Relationship Frame Theory - you just cannot use thoughts to change feelings in any way as much as we that is quite a bugger.

Thanks for the presentation. I am unclear on certain things. Does REBT look at beliefs about emotions, physiology, thoughts and emotions? Does the adversity only include external events, something you see or hear?
