I think you accomplished your goals, 100%.
In the end I prefer the OG, but that’s because of two reasons:
1. I have a very complicated setup of effects running in parallel and the sizzle, y… cybernetic sound slots in as the final component.
2. Make knobs go up and has Ministry.

Seems like the FU-2 has a bit more mids than either the FZ-2 or SF300, but the SF300 is fizzier than either. Great demo!

Man u really nailed it with the FU-2. u took the best of that fuzz sound and gave it more bite and modernized it.. FU-2 sounds awesome!!

Huntsville Alabama here. I’ve always loved Monolords tone. Empress rising is one of my favorite songs right now! I just ordered an sf300 yesterday so thanks for posting this video man! It was very helpful. I’m going to get the FU-2 and FZ-2 also because they all have subtle to wide differences in tones I could hear that I like out of them all.

I first heard of the HyperFuzz from Fieldy from Korn. He used it all over Follow the Leader, and probably many other songs too. I actually just got the Behringer and I love it!

Indiana here. Favorite out of the 3 is the FU-2! We use it on a few songs on our EP, TEAM HOSS “Molten Riffs of Fury”. (Shameless plug) We currently are in the process writing 3 new songs with it! Best pedal we have on our boards. We have figured out that you have to learn how to play with that pedal and really emphasize its sounds on chords and notes. That pedal recently blew 2 of the dust cones right off my Celestions V30’s!!! We have just upgraded our speakers! Great video Jason! Thanks for making fantastic effects! there’s a distinct midrange in the FU-2 that’s lacking in both the Boss and Behringer pedals, interesting. All 3 sound awesome!

Hey, watching from South Jersey, LOVE both the FZ-2 and the Behringer SF300 I've been a big Electric Wizard fan for a long time so I got to go with those and honestly cant notice that much of a difference. I feel the FZ-2 may have a little tiniest bit more fuzz to it but not enough to make a great difference. Behringer SF300 Defiantly sounds almost identical. Just love that dense fuzz sound it gives off.

I want one of each. They all sound great. I didn’t ask about the rattle in the paint can. I burrowed my dad’s claw hammer and figured it out.I got busted at dinner when I could not for the life of me get the paint off my hands. Dad took me to the garage and dipped my hands in paint thinner. Yeah, in the 70s we did all sorts of ill advised and unsafe stuff—bb gun wars, wouldn’t be caught dead wearing a bike helmet, etc.

I'm convinced the Shin-ei Superfuzz/Boss Hyperfuzz is the best type of fuzz. I also still own an SF300 and owned a FZ2 and thought they were identical, some vids like this make them sound slightly different.
