Cyberpunk 2077: Why you should play it (glitches and all)

Jeff Bakalar has detailed first impressions of his first 20 hours in Cyberpunk 2077, including the moment-to-moment gameplay beats, its performance on PC and of course, Keanu Reeves.

The game is not without its fair share of bugs and glitches-- there are many. But in his review Jeff says Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City is a compelling enough locale to see the main storyline through, even if the side quests and extra activities don’t offer much beyond busywork.

Honestly I'm not too worried I see this game getting millions of mods and different kinds of support we just got to make sure this game stays alive

I’ve waited 8 years for this. Don’t care if it barely runs on my launch PS4 I’m super stoked to give this a shot.

Really appreciate that we can finally see recorded gameplay, and it seems to be backing up what I figured from Monday - Game is worth the glitches, and the glitches don't seem to be system crashing, which to me would be the main thing to be worried about. I can reload a save on occassion and put up with some jank, and am hopeful the day 1 patch does resolve like 50% of this stuff in which case I don't have a problem toughing it out for a month for some of the other stuff to be resolved.

Talking about filling the shoes, for me if it even delivered half of what I expect from it then thats enough for me.
Its better to take some time like CD PROJECT rather than launching titles every year and degrading them like UBISOFT.

This seems like the Heaven's Gate of video games. As a dude was eating Chinese food... and talking about story stuff, his chop sticks began cloning in mid air... and he had two extra pairs of chopsticks floating around by the end of the conversation... it's immersion breaking beyond anything I could imagine being possible. The bug created more assets...

Amazing game. But I wish the game was playable in 3rd person perspective in all parts of the game.

It's gonna end up like skyrim. Bumpy launch but after a few months to a year of patches and dlc, will be a solid game.

This game is a perfect example of why my cousin likes to wait 18-24 months before playing any game. He likes the bugs and glitches to be ironed out not to mention having a potential complete edition with most if not all DLC inclued at a reduced price or even at original $60 MSRP for a complete game.

Did you upload HDR footage crushed into SDR space? Its bright af and a a lot of detail is missing because of the overblown highlights

Ok so it’s buggy and annoys you with phone calls. So gta5... got it. Let’s face it these problems aren’t uncommon in open world rpg’s. Sometimes glitches can provide some awesome hilarity. Sometimes a games occasional issues can be somewhat endearing.
