One MINOR thing that was overlooked.
When you substitute in for the variable, put the substitution in () with the coefficient.

He did 4a-2c
And made it 4*3-2*2
It should be (4*3)-(2*2)

It isn't important in THIS problem, but will be in others, like if that were division instead of subtraction.
4a/2c
Would be
(4*3)/(2*2)
12/(2*2)
12/4
3 <---- Correct

Compared to
4*3/2*2
12/2*2
6*2
12 Incorrect.
