'O' level geography highlights how arable land needs *top-soil* and *favorable climate* (this develops over years/decades).
Shunting rainfall patterns in any direction by a few hundred miles will cause famine(crop failure, livestock loss).

72.9 cm rise, if all the 74, 000 glacier melted, we had a 9.1cm rise last year and that needed an area of ice that was 9000 square miles, so yeah it doesnt look good, added to the fact if to much fresh water goes into the sea, it will change the sea current, if this mixes with the sea salty water it will be really bad, so we have another problem, scientists apparently are looking at spraying salt into the air in Antarctica in the hope of reflecting solar rays, if this salt settles it will or may mix into the fresh water surrounding the glaciers, turning the fresh water salty and accelerating the melting effect.

How many times are they going to complain about the SEA ICE melting on the glacier and cry that it is going to raise the sea levels. This is what glaciers do. They build up inside the continent and move to the coast where they melt and break off.
