Beautiful Artifact that is not Broken! That's Wonderful! The brass is so nice and the new ones are just like this, just not beautiful, heavy Brass. I think it's time I buy one for myself and my son. This will be fun during trips that my 14 yr old is no longer interested in going on.A nice set up with this and some water colors, may be fun. My last home had a pond with lots going on in it.I could have been that cool artist lady, painting every few days at the pond. The pond has not been up kept since I moved...too bad.

Very interesting! I traced so many things but they are mostly 2D. I always thought tracing 3D objects is impossibly hard until I see this.

There is a modern version of this, it’s called the LUCY drawing tool. I think it’s named wrong, it should be called a tracing tool.
