In the Viking tradition of all-inclusive style pricing, all meals on a Viking Ocean Cruise, including those in specialty restaurants, are complimentary. Menus can be accessed either through Viking's onboard mobile application, the Viking Voyager, or the interactive screens available at each restaurant.

Here's a tip: Specialty restaurant reservations are made available based on one's cabin. A time and date are provided for when you can make your reservation on-line and supposedly not before then. HOWEVER, I found after my first cruise and on my last two Viking Ocean cruises that it's prudent to start checking dining time availability at least two days before the date and time you have been provided. In each instance, I was able to make reservations well before then. Even so, I didn't get my first or second choice and that was with a PV2 penthouse veranda cabin.

We love Viking. After taking many cruses with others over years, this is now our only one. We are up to 14 Viking cruses (river & ocean).
We rate the Viking food as a 4 star restaurant.

Well done, and especially thank you for including information about specific diet requests! My wife and I are very concerned that we won’t find anything to eat that fits our plant-based diet based on cooking with no salt, sugar, or oil, and desserts of only fresh fruit. No alcohol. No soft drinks. No pasta. Breakfast of oatmeal with unsweetened plant milk and berries and walnuts. No dairy, no meat, no fish.
