Viewers have pointed out that gratuities are an extra if you are from the USA or European countries and I apologise for not making this distinction in the video when I state that gratuities are included in your fare. This is true if you are from Australia and New Zealand and possibly some Asian countries which has been the audience I have been catering to mostly. If you book your Viking Cruise through an Australian website or travel agent or Viking Australia direct you will pay extra for the base fare than residents from the USA or Europe and I imagine this is due to the fact that gratuities are not extra for Australian residents.

You might want to edit your description of the Restaurant. It is not buffet service, but Viking's version of the traditional main dining room all cruise lines provide. It's on Deck 2. The buffet is called the World Cafe and is located on Deck 7.

What is the best room to get? DOn't want motion sickness but like the suites- they are fore and aft? No middle

Another edit to make. Specialty restaurants (Manfredi's and Chef's Table) do not include reservations for everyone before the cruise. The "V" veranda cabins get zero early reservations. The other cabin categories get from one to three early reservations depending on the category (DV = 1, Suites = 3).

BTW: the laundry facilities also include soap. The only thing you need to bring is fabric softener (if you use it).

We just got back from an 8-day cruise from Rome to Barcelona and I would beg to differ on the value of the Viking app. It was marginal at best, the app on the TV in your room was up to date and contained everything you needed, the app was lacking. The daily newsletter delivered to your room had more info than the app. It needs some work in my opinion. Other than the app, the cruise was just incredible.

The buffet is called the World Cafe - NOT The Restaurant.

when using the laundromat you need to press the soap dispenser located next to the machines. The dispensers are located next to the washing machines and are numbered the same as the washers. If you do not press the dispenser you will only wash in plain water. This happened to me and the maintenance man explained what I had to do, There are no instructions for this around the laundromat.

Two usb outlets on each night stand and 4 on the desk. No need to bring extra charging stuff.
