Guys, the best thing to do is try to create space inbetween the thought and the action. So, if you visit the GP regularly/ A & E (like me) and are feeling symptoms, instead of calling or attending straight away give it 24 hours, if it stays see someone. Then each time this happens try make the times longer, 2 days, 3 days etc. I found doing this the symptoms that I thought I was dying of actually didn't persist long enough to warrant a worry.
The last time I visited the doctor was a good few months ago, which for me is insane growth as I used to phone daily and call an ambulance every week! That and stop googling was the best thing I have done

It's that old obsession with certainty, a defensive mechanism of preparing yourself for the worst because the certainty of the condition is more palatable than the oddity of it being psycho somatic which i think in itself can lead to self loathing and beating yourself up which further adds to the loop. I sometimes wonder if theres a sub concious use of almost wanting to be ill as a catalyst to get a certain type of attention that isn't being fulfilled or an expression of deep seated discontent/depression, not to get all freudian of course, just an idea. I know what you mean about empathy, some loved ones are really good at the human stuff and sometimes others are absolutely lacking in basic human skills, i have both in my family.

Dr go**** is so bad for me But i always repeat the same mistake. For the moment i wondering about melanoma subject. I have a congenital mole and all my attention is on It. Every day photos, check my lymphnodes. No changes But stil anxious.

You needed validation and reassurance, but when you get it, it's never enough due to your intolerance to uncertainty. A definitely no no. A therapist would never collude with you this way.

Can health anxiety cause burning sensation in feets and hands ( not exactly burning sensation but kind a wired sensation)?? Do you get twitches even now??
