Hello! I work at a company in Florida . Im a leak detection specialist for swimming pools. I found your method to be... interesting. I think its great that you are trying it out. But this method will not exactly work. You need to get a syringe 💉. This will help to control the dye you put out. Put on some goggles and have a look. With vinyl linners you can find 1 big leak or 15 pin holes. Good luck to you.

DO NOT USE THIS IN YOUR POOL!!! Turned my 25, 000 gallon pool pink. Had to completely drain it to get the color out. Never did find the leak.
