I upgraded from a 2060 to a 4060, and it was definitely worth it. The 4060 offers raw performance comparable to a 2080, but the real difference shines through with DLSS and ray tracing combined.

Ada Lovelace made us realize how well Turing aged. We all loved Ampere, but Turing is still great. DLSS is so good now compared to 2018/2019. The only compliment I'll give to Ada Lovelace is the efficient power draw. The 4060 & 4060Ti have great power consumption. Besides that, they are a scam.

Talking about power and performance, the improvement is quite good in my opinion, 80% performance increase with a 30% less power consumption in 4 years is impressive, sadly Vram, availability and price kill this great numbers.

I just upgraded from 2060 to 4060. Higher fps, can play all latest games on high settings.
2060 used to hit 85C, 4060 does 65C. 2060 takes more power adding stress to psu.

As someone who uses a g14 2060 (max q) yes in 2024 for rendering. The idea of building a tiny 4060 based pc in an xbox series s body seems like a fun idea even if the performer is laughbable

rtx 2060 still holds good in medium and some high settings on other games. the card still awesome.

4060 is such a disappointing product imo... its only really DLSS3 that saves it but not every game supports that of course

people still think that its only about the FPS, no its also about the technology inside of it too, like DLSS 3.0 for frame generation and ray reconstruction, better tensor care and CUDA cores, i study in semiconductor and chip manufacturing. i can see the difference, but alot of people that dont study and do these things can only see the FPS...so people will say, its been 4 years and Nvidia can only put out like 10 to 20 FPS better? no its also new technology that is implemented, like i said before frame generation that can help the FPS without putting more power into it making it cost even more, so technology like frame generation help boost the FPS instead.
