G.I. Joe is an American media franchise and a line of action figures owned and produced by the toy company Hasbro. The initial product offering represented four of the branches of the U.S. armed forces with the Action Soldier (U.S. Army), Action Sailor (U.S. Navy), Action Pilot (U.S. Air Force), Action Marine (U.S. Marine Corps) and later on, the Action Nurse. The name is derived from the usage of "G.I. Joe" for the generic U.S. soldier, itself derived from the more general term "G.I.". The development of G.I. Joe led to the coining of the term "action figure". G.I. Joe's appeal to children has made it an American icon among toys.

The G.I. Joe trademark has been used by Hasbro for several different toy lines, although only two have been successful. The original 12-inch (30 cm) line introduced on February 2, 1964, centered on realistic action figures. In the United Kingdom, this line was licensed to Palitoy and known as Action Man. In 1982 the line was relaunched in a 3.75-inch (9.5 cm) scale complete with vehicles, playsets, and a complex background story involving an ongoing struggle between the G.I. Joe Team and the evil Cobra organization which seeks to take over the Free World through terrorism. As the American line evolved into the Real American Hero series, Action Man also changed, by using the same molds and being renamed as Action Force. Although the members of the G.I. Joe team are not superheroes, they all had expertise in areas such as martial arts, weapons, and explosives G.I. Joe was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame at The Strong in Rochester, New York, in 2004 and into the Pop Culture Hall of Fame in 2017.

All these movies need to be remade! Gijoe is 1 of the coolest cartoons & toy lines ever! They need to concentrate on the movies the same way they concentrated on the original Star Wars & Lord of the Rings movies!!!

It was a mistake to kill off Duke's character as he is THE Joe character. They could had recast him instead if they didn't like Channing Tatum.

The Snake Eyes movie was a decent ninja movie but it wasn't Snake Eyes and definitely wasn't his origin story. It was too easy to create to not get it right but....

Hasbro is filled with a bunch of fools. They should force whoever has the license to use their freaking heads. If they would simply update the Larry Hama comic story line and go from there. The comic series was brilliant. By bringing the Vietnam Era origin into the 21st century and the War on Terror taking center stage as the beginning for the team.

For the brand as a whole a simple update of the animated RAH kicked off with a 5 part mini series debuting a new updated 3 3/4 line advertised during the show would save the brand. Hasbro has shelved the best toy line ever.

Every time the narrator mispronounced stuff like "Baroness" and "Arashikage", I cringed.

G.I. Joe needs to have Larry Hama write the NEXT Movie Scrip and perhaps a 3 movie series that will go back to the Old School Action Adventure that made the Comic books so much fun! The writers and directors that have been used in the past have not been true fans or perhaps believe in the Good Vs. Evil Conflict that is the bases for the Joe vs. Cobra conflict. In the previous movies the Characters that we KNOW and LOVE have been RE-Introduced with Back Stories that Make No Sense. Keep the Character we know we with their Origin Stories the way they were introduced over 40 years ago and the reason all the previous Movies have DIED in the Box Office is because Fans are not getting their Heroes or their Villain!

Want to know what I think? I think they should take what works in the first two G.I. Joee movies and what worked in Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins and mix them in with no connection to either. With Bumblebee director Travis Knight as producer, along with Rise of the Beasts director Steven Caple Jr. also as producer and Michael Bay as director and producer joining long time producer of G.I. Joe, Lorenzo di Bonaventura. Go with a hard R rating.

They did 3 movies and Snake Eyes was the best out of the 3. They need to pick up. The Transformers movies were awesome, make a beyond awesome G.I.Joe movie already.
