Golf Driver Lesson - Average Golfer

In this golf driver lesson in beautiful San Diego, Porzak Golf helps Matt with his driver swing. Matt needed to know how to swing the driver correctly, giving Matt a few driver drills so that he understands the driver basics, which you need to know for every golf swing. This is a great driver lesson for beginners. Adam helps Matt get a little bigger shoulder turn and the driver staying more in front of his body on the downswing, this makes sure Matt doesn't get stuck and has space to swing through with ease!

Hey Adam, I’ve watched a lot of golf videos on YouTube for the last 2 years since I got bit by the golf bug and decided to start playing and I have to say, you are probably the best instructor I’ve ever seen and heard teach. I’m so impressed by the manner in which you teach your students. I’ve never had a lesson before and I would love to be taught by someone that I can clearly see has a lot of love, knowledge and passion for the game like yourself. Really cool to see a lesson and improvement with an average golfer. It is great to see the high-level players as well, but I think we are all probably closer to this "average" gentleman that we want to believe.

In some of the iron lessons, for right arm connection Adam or Mike will have the student put right palm up (which rotates shoulder) and THEN grip the club. Do we do that with driver too?

Hi, love your channel! 71 yrs young, 9 hc, I hit pretty consistently fades with driver, 78 % of fairways. Should I give up trying to change my swing and draw the tee ball? Need to get extra distance!

So keep the chest looking at the hands, what are the hips doing? Racing ahead or generally leading. I don’t detect much weight shift with this chap. Liking your lessons when they give tips I can understand.

Ill be looking into booking a session with you hopefully this year if possible. But I’ll tell you as someone who’s 6’0ft with really long arms, it’s tough to get the hands in front of the body throughout the swing.

This channel has been incredible to my irons and wedges. Been through about 3 swing changes and wasn’t consistent. Got golftec lessons and saw how much I early extend which locked me up. No rotation. Just watching your videos and practicing what I’ve learned, I’m hitting my irons way better. Still struggle a little with left wrist being cupped with causes small fades but when it all syncs up, I’m consistently 10 yards from my target on 5 iron through 60 degree. Still got work to do but love the channel. Went from a +28 to 18 In just 2 months because im not losing balls and short game has been getting better. Just got some work on my driver slices when im trying to load power into it. Thanks guys. Best coaches on YouTube for sure

Hi Adam, I love your explanation on driver n irons . It really works for me but when I try to speed up on my down swing, my right hand n shoulder take over... Can u help explain how can I have a faster speed without spinning out my lower body ? Thanks in advance.
