We do pain speaker before to water proof it.. but if you do not use your speakers long time it will crack the paper

Tape the surround and use epoxy or epoxt paint to stiffen the cone. Dont use Rust-Oleum paint! Just gonna add wieght to make the cone have more breakup in the upper region. Its a woofer so it plays to these octaves. Also adding wieght can cause a phase angle issue because the voltage and current arent aligned any more because the mass of the cone makes it take longer to accelerate and it causes more and more lag in cone movement.

That restricts the woofer excursion causing the coil to be damaged. Do not do that ignorant stuff.

Ok then! Headed out to my truck right now with some spray paint! I was hitting about 145, but this should get me to 148-150. 😂 Good lord...

Do not do this unless you want to ruin the original intended sound quality.. You are adding mass to the cone that isn’t supposed to be there. And if you get it on the surround it’s even worse forget about proper excursion

I do recommend this technique if the speakers is old the rubber become loosen you have to paint it to toughen the cone movements otherwise the sound will be distorted if you increase the sound volume

WTF is this. This guys stuff is worn out so now he wants to get people to ruin their stuff. I noticed you didn't actually see him spray anything on his worn out stuff but he wants you to damage your good stuff. No thanks..
