The problem with this concept is that contemporary women are poor choosers in men. They actively dismiss the most important aspect in choosing a partner, which is investment. They don't seek men who have some degree of investment in them in favour of strangers, hoping investment will form after. When this fails, they become bitter in men for not living up to their preconceived notions. When men say, "Look in your friend zone." It's not to translate as date your best guy friend it's choose someone who already has some degree of investment in you as a person.
