Where Are The Spears!?

Hunting spears were just added to the game yesterday, but where can you find them?

I love how they added hunters call to outposts cuz now I don't have to sail all the way to a seatpost just to get a storm... Yeah, I like just being at an outpost and fishing. Even tho the sea posts are more secluded, I like the outpost feel

I’m glad they in the game but a bit disappointed they aren’t armory weapons

You can duplicate them on your ships ladder! Hold right trigger, grab ladder, let go of right trigger and grab left, let go of ladder, keep holding left trigger and press right at the same time and it’ll throw two spears!

You can get them at any outpost or Sea post yes, but if it's the same npc character from the original place you brought them, they won't be able to sell you anymore spears, you would have to go to a different character NPC, So actually! The most efficient way to do the new comendations is buy the spears from the outpost, if your lucky enough to go past a seapost that is not the same npc as the one that sold you spears at outpost, then scuttle to new seas to reset the npcs and continue...best way to do the commendations

The best thing they do, is that when they are fired from a cannon they add a lot of repair time to fix a hole. They only make a tier 1 hole at first, but if you spend time pulling it out it, it creates a tier 5 hole. Which then takes more time to repair. So it you shoot 5 of them at an enemy they'll have 5 tier one holes they can't repair without wasting time

they should make the glow on them more noticeable, i have a tendency to lose them and sometimes they get stuck really deep in terrain at certain angles

These things are littering the waters. I dunno if people aren't aware that they don't go with you when they dive or if it's just that they are so common but I had a stack of like 25 when I logged out

They also made it that I can show up randomly on smaller islands. At least that’s what I saw.

Spears have an issue where they despawn pn the boat or if they get hit by lightning they poof.

You can get them from sunken ships too i just got one while playing with my buddy

Also, another useful thing that they can do instead of cannonballs Putting holes in the ship, the harpoons can also put a hole in the ship, but you have to take the item first before plugging the hole, making you waste more time at a hole and not bailing.

Honestly sad that they aren’t a traditional weapon, having a way to keep the sword lords away with a long-ranged attack would’ve been cool, and only being able to have one at a time, meaning you can do a powerful throw, but after that you need to pick it up.

If you have a full gally buying at the same time you can get 20 from 1 outpost

Ive found them in shipwrecks that usually have a trident

I wish they wouldn't be classified as treasure. I would love to stack up before diving to location without losing them.

2 things 1: it should work like the ammo crate but obviously not have 50 of them just have 6-10 in there and 2: we should be able to dive with them technically they are a loot item but so are Disney sticks technically and they sell for table scraps and are used more as weapons hell they count as a cannon projectile we should be able to dive with them

Are skeleton ships able to remove the spears if you fire them at their ship or no?
